Dr. Christopher Gleis

Dr. Christopher Gleis was born in Bay Shore, NY, and graduated with high honors from Colorado State University. He obtained his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed his Mount Sinai School of Medicine internship.
Dr. Gleis then began his residency training in Anesthesiology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, where he served as the Chief Resident. His residency was followed by a postgraduate fellowship in preoperative pain management and regional anesthesia at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

He is involved with multiple organizations, including the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine Research Society.
Dr. Gleis employs a multimodal approach to pain management, treating his patients’ symptoms through interventional pain procedures and non-habit-forming medications, if required, without the use of narcotics. Dr. Gleis also has extensive experience in addiction medicine, having previously served as the medical director for a prominent drug and alcohol treatment center.
